Yesterday in North Chicago burbs, the sun is out, the G is clean & I finish a meeting a sales meeting at about 2:00 p.m. so I thought I'd go and pick my daughter up from daycare early. I'm just cruising along on Rt.137 going East too the Lake and I see ahead of me a really nice late model Trans Am.
I'm just crusing along doing about 40m.p.h. and I press the "6" button on my CD changer and there's a Prodigy CD in there and track four is a great driving song called "Everybody's in the Place", so the music is pumping, I open my sunroof and in the song there's a part where they say "let's Go" (anybody familiar with the song will know) and just as they say this, I pull close too the Trans' Am's bumper and his plate reads "LESS GO" and the lanes open up into two and he punches it, it was like fate or something.
He was flying, traffic was light and because of the coincidence I was griining from ear too ear and I'm right behind him.
We get too the first light and we're across from each other, I give a cursory look over and he was sitting so low in his seat at first I thought the car was driving itself; then I see a 30 something just looking across, his cap at a rakish angle, his glasses reflecting the DG of my car. For the next couple of hunderd yards we're just cruising, but as soon as the lanes open too three he's on it...I'm right there with him. (I know of course, that I don't have much of a chance with a Trans Am), but the bloke in the car was getter madder & madder...I'm smiling, the next track comes on and we're pacing each other.
We get too a three lane where the left leane is turn only...he's looking at me,no he's glaring at me, looking ahead, revving his engine and just as the light turns green I hop into the left lane and turn off...Lol..victory is MINE!!!
I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!

BTW, we all know that good music gives the G more horsepower, but did you know, if you shave your head and open the sunroof you get better aerodynamics and at least 20hp at the crank?

 

BB, I want some of whatever you are smoking! LOL.

I wonder how many other G owners shave their head!
