gas door/lid wont open!!
have any of you had a problem with ur gas door/lid (not talking about the cap u screw on). for some reason mine wont open. this is the second time i've encountered this problem, and on both incidents, my car was on empty. the first time this happened to me, it magically fixed itself 2 days after. but this time i dont really have two days. my senior prom is this coming saturday.
i called infiniti and they told me to bring in the car today. however, they will not be able to give me a loaner. the worst part is that they dont know how long it will take to fix. now it would totally suck if i had to drive my 1992 toyota previa to prom.
i have a 2003 g35, so there is no button you press to open the lid. on mine, you simply have to unlock the car, and push the lid open.
any feedback would be helpful. thanks!

Re: gas door/lid wont open!!
I have the same problem with my 2004 Sedan, has happened a few times now, I took it in and of course it was working for them, hasn't done it since, but he said since it was working, he couldn't trace the problem, if it doesn't happen again soon, I am taking it in anyway and telling him it's been doing it a lot, I believe it's the solenoid right at the gas door, someone on FA had that happen and it was replaced!

Re: gas door/lid wont open!!
I actually have this problem this week. I just took it in to my dealer and they said there are some problems with the actuator of the gas door and they are going to order a new one so I can get it fixed next week. IN the mean time, they manually disconnected the fuel door from the unlocking mechanism so I can fuel up.

(Hundreds are Benjamins, right?) This is the most expensive fill-up I have ever had. My faith in my car is waivering.
