Clock Light seems very dim? & Passenger Heated Seat Button out

Hello,

After purchasing my car yesterday (04 G35 RWD Sedan), I had a chance to do some night driving and found that the Clock light seems VERY dim. Also, the light for the passenger heated seats button is completely out. Is the dimness of the clock light like this in every other g35 sedan? If seems that there is only ONE bulb for the clock which is on the right side of the clock illuminating the whole face of the clock.

1.) Is there any way I can integrate an LED to light up the face of the clock? Maybe go with an indigo/blue color or even a superwhite? The color of a regular light bulb is boring!

2.) Is there an easy fix to replacing the light under the passenger heated seat button?

Any help is appreciated for a noob like myself!

You may have a bulb out, but the clock is somewhat dimmer than the rest of the instrument panel lights, especially if you like your IP on the dim side. When you raise the brightness all the way, is it still very dim?

Also, the light for the passenger heated seats button is completely out.
Which light are you talking about? There are two: one for background illumination, and one for heat-on indication. Both are replaceable, but will require some disassembly of course. Do you have access to the FSM? Check section IP (instrument panel).

I guess it gets brighter.. but still looks too dim for my standards.

I was talking about the one that stays on, the background illumination.

clock light

As for your clock light this has been discussed numerous times and if you search several threads will show up but here's a link to one of the threads:

https://g35driver.com/forums/lightin...ent-guide.html

It talks about replacing with a new bulb but later on there are mentions of how to replace with a LED.

Blubs in the switch are not sold seperately, most likely you'll need to either buy a complete switch or take it apart and find the bulb at a local electronics store.
