Engine Noise

This question is in regards to my 5AT G35s

2 weeks ago I had a loaner 5AT G35s for a few days with ~6k miles on it. I noticed that it has less engine noise
The noise I am talking about the sounds that seems like turbo inspired car (i know most of us love it) as you accelerate quickly through the gears. It goes away for a fraction with every tranny shifts.
My G35 has 24k miles and is noticable louder. I bought the car used with 20k so that is all I knew before adn not sure if it is normal wear or perhaps abuse by previus owner. Both are stock cars so there should not be any other sound influence.

Anyway anyone has similar experience with the loaner or any comments related to this
Thanks
