G vs. SRT-4

Ran with an SRT-4 last night 5-19. It was bone stock. We went a few times from a role in 1st and 2nd. He pulled on me a 1/2 car then I started to pull on him to even then he let off all 4 times. The other driver would not even look over at me i wanted to go from a dig. chalk another one up for me =)

i raced a 04 blue srt-4 this past saturday night from about 35mph-80mph and i was expecting to get my *** handed to me, but i stayed right beside him the whole time and i started to pull just a little (note: maybe a foot).

Re: G vs. SRT-4

it looks like most 6mts with good drivers can hit 14.1-14.3 without much work. most autos are around 14.6-14.8 so i would say there is a bit of a diffrence. my auto sedan is around 14.4X@99 with cold weather and my mods.

Re: G vs. SRT-4

Think you're right, BlackonblackG.

Most magazine testing has shown approx. .4-.5 of a second difference in 1/4 mile times between the 6MT and 5AT, and .2-.4 second differences in the 0-60 MPH times. These are professional drivers who know how to drive, and they get the most out of each, so we can be fairly certain of the differences here (though, of course, a bad 6MT driver would lose every time to the average "point and shoot" auto driver).

Re: G vs. SRT-4

Well I would expect after around 70+ to pull on him since the SRT-4 is 4banger and the G35 is a 6cylinder and the 2extra cylinders could help a good amount. But I could be wrong.

Re: G vs. SRT-4

The SRT4 is QUICK. I got my doors sucked off by one last week (didn't get the opportunity to run with him) and all I can say is it was quick quick quick, and it handled weaving in and out of traffic like a ****. I'm not sure what all he'd done to it but the BOV on that badboy was LOUD. I assume at least THAT was after-market so who knows what else. Sounded awesome and looked great too (for a friggin' Neon )

Image which *may* not be suitable for work

0-60 in 5.9 in full stock form? I'm all over it.

Re: G vs. SRT-4

That pic is of Rezin's car. He used to have a tricked G35 sedan until some semi cut it in half. He is over on SrtForums.com too.
