Greddy Evo2 for sedan

does anyone with a sedan have this exhaust.

http://www.performancenissanparts.co...roducts_id=656

this is the evo2 version full cat-back.

video clip of it on a 350z.

http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4286943527
(note: this car has nismo headers and cats)

Jason@performance says this exhaust on the sedan sounds the exact same as it does on the z (both have the same canister / resonator but on the sedan it has one pipe instead of 2)

i think this is the best sounding exhaust i have ever heard on a vq35de.

So does anyone have it yet, first impressions/pros/cons/hp numbers.

thanks,

Re: Greddy Evo2 for sedan

Looking at the pic's I see here www.i-m-racing.com/ntnsracing/sogrevoduex3.html I have have a real hard time believing that the Z system can sound like the sedan system. I'm sure that you can tell their from the same company, but same sound quality, I really doubt that. The sedan setup retains the oem Y-pipe and is single pipe all the way. Frankly I'd buy the Fujitsubo sedan exhaust before I'd buy the Greddy sedan exhaust, even knowing it's more expensive.

Re: Greddy Evo2 for sedan

i believe the greddy evo system uses the oem y pipe.
http://www.i-m-racing.com/ntnsracing/gredevoexg35.html

i am talking about the greddy evo2 full cat-back system for the sedan.
as seen here:

http://www.performancenissanparts.co...roducts_id=656

i am shure it doesn't sound exactly like it does on the z but i bet its close.

btw, the fujitsubo exhaust is really nice but a little to quite for my taste, then add their y-pipe to the price of the exhaust and then you are in stillen territory.

Re: Greddy Evo2 for sedan

I checked the link your provided --- http://www.performancenissanparts.co...roducts_id=656
--- and believe the picture shows an EVO II exhaust system attached to the stock y-pipe.

The text does say it's cat-back however. The price says different, IMO... even for a single pipe, single muffler system.

Re: Greddy Evo2 for sedan

The Greddy Evo2 is POSITIVELY Y-pipe-back and NOT catback... Hence, you need to spend another $400-430 for a y-pipe to overcome a major bottleneck... The same goes for the Fujitsubo...

I heard the Fujitsubo sedan exhaust in person - it certainly sounds more "exotic" than even Stillen, and definitely all-around better than Borla. Don't get me wrong, I like my stillen, but it has more of a "in-your face" mean V8 sound, rather than an exotic growl. The Fuji is a little quieter than the Stilleb and a little louder than the Borla (to the best of my recollection). Different strokes... BTW, I never heard the Evo2 in person.

I would have to see what my RT/Stillen combo sounds like after my TT is installed, as the turbos will muffle the sound a little bit. If it is still too loud, I MAY be selling my stillen and get something quiter (such as the Magnaflow 3" pipe design one - if I can manage to fit it), so as to not attract much attention to my non-street-legal TT setup.

Re: Greddy Evo2 for sedan

That is correct, the EVO2 is y-pipe back only. The only difference between the EVO and EVO2 is that the 2 is full stainless steal....
