My girlfriend was actually driving the car when it first happened - she lost power - it seemed to go into "limp" mode. She turned off the car and when she turned it on again it worked ok (with the SES light on). The thing is, that before I had the sensor replaced, whenever I stepped on the throttle (gas pedal) it seemed like a 1/2 second wait before the car would respond. When the sensor was replaced that problem went away. No throttle lag.

When my car threw this code the dealership replaced the entire throttle assembly under warranty. It was as if I was given a brand new car.

my car has thrown this code, im 3100 miles over my warranty and they want $375 to fix it at the dealership!!! It seems to be a faulty sensor since there is more than quite a few G35s experiencing this! I called infiniti consumer affairs and they said they cant help me until i get it diagnosed by an authorized infiniti dealer..more money more problems!!

I have had this problem.....it appears every so often. I have had the TB replaced twice but it didn't fix it. some have suggested that it's actually the gas pedal/sensor assembly that needs to be replaced. dunno>

My car is throwing the same code. The sensor is actually built into the throttle chamber, which the dealer wants to replace for $436.13. I'm taking it to get looked at and most likely fixed next Saturday at Columbus Infiniti. Thank god I made the other dealer, whom I bought the car from, sign a letter of intent to pay for this fix. I'll let you know what I find out when I take it to the dealership next Saturday. BTW - I'm a 2004x with 53000

Just got back from the dealership. They replaced the throttle body and seems to have fixed the problem. $448.10 was the total, including a 39.99 oil change. The parts ran $184 and the labor was $196 @ $98 per hour......WOW, I'm in the wrong business

I'm just happy that I had the dealership, that I purchased the car from, write a statement saying they would pay for this fix.

My total out-of-pocket cost was $0

Xratedg - I work in industrial electronics and the typical rate is either $125 per hour or $1200 per day plus travel expenses - I wish I saw the money, I'm just the guy that they send out.

I totally get your frustration when the codes keep coming up despite the procedural reset of ECU (brake pedal stuff). I've done it over 50 times now after I replaced my TB for about $70 (My original TB went bad). The SES would come up all over again.

After like a few months, I was so frustrated that I was planning to go to a dealership to get this fixed. One night, I just disconnected the negative terminal of my battery, next day morning, the SES never came back again. My idle is well below 600 RPM (sometimes < 400). I could also feel the ride getting so much better. I drove all the way from bay area to Seattle and back and still going strong!! This is a 2003 G coupe. So this maybe the solution you are looking for ...

This is my last hope I've replaced the sensor, the wiring, plug, and checked all my fuses on my 03 sedan that is the earliest production model and it's been an absolute pain to track this down!
