I am curious as my other car is a CL (other car a TL) how the CL would stack up against the G35. I know my TL owns the G35 sedan as I recently had a race with my buddy who owns a G35. Maybe I'll run the CL against him this weekend.

We all know how cocky TL owners could get when it comes to G35, so let's not be like them.

It is possible for TL to overtake G. There are many things to factor in. He didn't mention any details of the race. For all we know he could have been racing one of those G owners who had never revved VQ past 3500rpm.. I see a lot of grannies in G35 here in Bay Area.

i think the TL and g35 sedan's performance on a drag should be similar...i don't think anyone can own anyone else...now...i don't know what CL you talking about...(type-s?) i think the CL type-s is slower than the new TL..so...really depends

 

Let's leave the guy alone...he's probably about 65 years old like most of the other Acura TL owners ;-) However, I will admit that speed-wise, the TL and the G35 are neck-and-neck (from all the tests done in the car mags and such). Speed, however, is still just one component of what makes the Infiniti G35 a very nice car; speed, sportiness, quality, interior materials, style, and most importantly, the fact that it's a rear-wheel drive make the Infiniti G35 Sedan a better choice, IMHO, than the Acura TL. Underneath, the Acura is still just a very fast front-wheel drive Honda Accord.

just think about this way....FWD is cheaper than RWD ...where did acura put the money that's left? back into the interior/gadgets...so...its your choice (gadgets/RWD)

Hey Guys, it's all a big joke with TXCarGuy and his TL/CL BULLSHIT.

We all know him, and his KIND. You remember the wanna-be from high school, always hanging around the in-crowd and trying to be a part of something he couldn't really be (it's a form of ***** envy). First, he's got a killer TL that he REALLY knows how to drive (since he can beat our "G"'s and handle his torque steer so well), and now that this act has grown old, suddenly he's got a CL, too.

Yeah, right "Mario" - I got your CL right here, buddy! You just KNOW this guy drives a 1980 Civic with 4 different colored fenders and no front bumper - he doesn't even own a TL, much less a CL !

He doesn't have the B*lls to go on the TL website and talk his smack, because they'd expose him quick, as they seem to attack each other relentlessly over there. Here, we've never even asked him for photos of his car, because we simply don't give a sh*t, so he can come here and talk his stuff and flame us. etc.

The clown doesn't even have a TL, and, if we did ask him for a photo, he'll just send one he's taken of the TL's he's been washing down at the car wash, where he works. Don't even give clowns like him the time of day - he's a wanna-be, in both our world, as well as the TL's world. 'Nuff Said.

Hmmm, I raced a TL today and I smoked it.

2004 Infiniti G35S, 6MT, Premium, Sport, DP
Mods: JDM Clears, 20% tint, Z-tube, K&N Drop In
Track: 14.32 at 97.6 mph 2.196 60ft (1900 miles bone stock, with bogging)

 

Put down the pipe and slowly back away. LOL better interior materials?! Have you ever looked at your "titanium" console? Try running your hand over the leather. It's not even close.

TL has much much much better interior materials. Better style, amenities like the climate control, Blue Tooth, DVD-A, better sound quality on regular CD's (especially burnt CD's), better HID headlights, more comfortable seats.... the list goes on.

 

My guess is he doesn't even HAVE a TL. You know...you can't really tell. TLs, TSXs, Accords.....they all look the same. I guess he trolls here because he really has nothing better to do because the guys over at TOV are probably even annoyed with him.
