I don't know if you already bought a car, but I did ALOT of research on many different makes/models - 3 months worth before I decided. I am a mom of a 2 y/o. However, I am not your average grocery-getter/soccer-mom kinda driver. I DID want performance - even if it's just to make sure NO ONE will cut me off getting on the interstate. I considered the TL. One of my main research tools was Edmunds. I checked the vs search engine alot too. Also you may want to consider checking recalls (they are even btw), replacement parts/prices, ect. Right down to the ins. premium. My decision in the end was between the Mazdaspeed and the G 6MT. The TL I drove was quieter and a little smoother. Very nice lines. But the performance on the G was unmatched. If it is the wifes car, has she driven both? That is usually the deciding factor. Good luck to you both!

Ended up getting a 6 spd manual TL. I was amazed at how much of a difference the manual made in the car.

The up side is the wife ended up getting a 06 G Sedan auto. So now we have on of each. After driving each of them I prefer my TL, but the G is a very nice car.

My ride 2004 TL A Spec wheels and lip, 64K for $13,400

Hers 2006 G35 Sedan 25K for $16,900

Very nice! Now you have the best of both worlds...uh hum...cept that the G is auto....LMAO. Sorry, I'm a little partial. I checked out a TL 6 spd. Black. Very sweet ride. Still, I'm partial to my G. Bet your wife is a very happy woman right now . I am a very happy wife too!

i got to drive my my friends TL around all day saturday (she had mine, cause i changed her air filter and cleaned it really nice for her) and i honestly didnt like it at all. it was a 07 auto.. i wasnt quick at all, and it was the quickest car ive ever driven. i dont think i heard the engine at all till like 6000 rpms. and i didnt like how much bigger it felt, and the fwd. idk, all around i like my 04 sedan alot more than her 07 TL.

The wife would love a manual, but she drives about 40 miles each way to work everyday in traffic and with having kids as well is just to much for her.

My car handles better than hers, but she has a lot smoother ride than me.

There is a lot I like about each car, but prefer the TL. I guess deep down I am and always will be a Honda guy.
