Re: would you guys buy a loaner car?
I ran a carfax report and there was No Personal Use, Lease, rental or commercial use Registration Reported. what does that mean?
Re: would you guys buy a loaner car?
Might mean that it was a dedicated demo car and went on lots of test drives. Only thing I can think of. I know my dealership only had one G35 for everyone to test drive. The down side was you couldn't drive a car with the options you wanted before making up your mind (I didn't get to try the sport suspension out beforehand). The up side was I bought a car with only 4 miles on the odometer. I certainly wouldn't want to buy that test-drive beast.

Well just keep in mind that when you go to sell this car, the person buying it is going to carfax it and might think twice about buying it...So when you sell it dont expect to get top dollar.
Re: would you guys buy a loaner car?
It was one of the managers cars. I used to work at a dealership. The managers and owners would get a new car every six to eight months and then sell them on the used car lot and they didnt have to be registered to anyone. Thats the answer.
Re: would you guys buy a loaner car?
I don't understand all this NO NO NO don't buy it cause we are beat the crap out of loaners? What did you guys buy your G for? Going to Sunday School?
13K is nothing on this car and most likely it was a managers car like the previous post said and there is no dealer who will tell you differently.
Every chance I get with my G, I drive it like it is suppossed to be driven: HARD! It's only a car and most of us here won't keep it longer than 4 years anyway.
The car is meant to be pushed and by doing it regularily, it will perform the best that it can.
BUY the car, It's a great price.

Haha, No "Sunday school" here either, but if my ride gets a woopin' it at least gets warmed carefully and gets beaten with a little respect.
Loaners get beat from start to finish -- without any consideration for anything. That's why they're cheaper to buy.
You can beat on a ride, but you better do it the right way if you want anything left in the end.
Call me fussy if you like, but no loaners for me. You want 'em, you got 'em.

I Have to agree with "WinterPeg"
As I said it before too, these are performance cars! The VQ engine has proven itself in previous generations for years.
Besides, If "abuse" means pushing the car harder than usual I think it's fine. BUT, If by "abuse" you mean you "intentionally" try to downshift when you're not supposed to or do 0-60 tests 10 times over only in a loner, then anyone doing this is probably needs to visit a psychologist to see what went wrong in their young years :-)
C'mon guys, redlining the VQ doesn't really count as abuse! maybe Hard Use but no Abuse.
Get the car and sell it around the end of warranty.

Re: would you guys buy a loaner car?
On the last G loaner I got, the underbelly pan cam loose while I was on the highway. No big deal, just made a racket until I got home and zip tied it back on. Then I saw why it fell; the whole underside of the bumber and lower engine cover were covered with scrapes, and all the fasteners were ripped out...looked like someone was trying to replicate the opening scene in Fast And Furious 2! I think you can do better than a dealership loaner car.
BTW, I understand all the Infiniti loaners are owned by Infiniti, and leased to the dealerships.....so this untitiled car does probably mean a manager or owner used car....not a loaner.

Re: would you guys buy a loaner car?
Posts like this just make me sad. The world is a troubled enough place as it is, but then you have people who get provided a nice service such as a loaner car and then, since it's not theirs, treat it poorly. Whatever happened to respecting the property of others? Just because it's owned by a car company or a dealership, it is still the property of someone else and worthy of respect. I never treat a rental car any differently, and probably better, than I treat my own vehicles. If your lawn mower went out and you needed to borrow your neighbors, would you treat it poorly? Same principle. I just don't understand abusing something just because it's not yours. Guess I'm a throwback to a different time.

Re: would you guys buy a loaner car?
Great subject tho. I'm inclined to agree with RJPoteet, but understand that human nature is such that you don't treat someone else's property the same. I tend to be careful with other people's property because that's how I want mine treated when I loan out.(if I loan out)
I'm sure the dealerships expect some mistreatment tho. Heck some of the test drives I've been on with salespeople I was encouraged to drive a little 'erratically' shall we say. (maybe demos get a worse sh*t-kickin')

I'm not sure if you are implying that I abused the loaners, but I can assure you that I would never do that. I was just commenting on the state of the loaners I've seen.
