One other suggestion... When getting the service records for the car - see if the original owner took the car in to get a lot of the common issues taken care of - like the various TSBs. For example - the G is known for having little creaks and rattles in the cabin that can be irritating. I took my '05 sedan in 3 times for this (it's at Infiniti today for the third time - however, this is minor). Here is what I would look at - to see if the original owner addressed (note not all cars are going to have these issues):

1. Creaks and rattles repaired.
2. Rear axle click TSB (I believe this is for the 5AT - Infiniti is looking at this for me today also)
3. Front compression rods TSB
4. CD player - eating CD's issue
5. Oil Consumption for 6MT (from what everyone here is saying this is for the '05+)

There's probably more but this is just off the top of my head... I hope you find a good buy and enjoy the G - it's a great car.

Yes, only the Rev-Up engine has this issue. I noticed a rattle in my dash just yesterday. After some fiddling, found it to be one little area of the telescoping wheel (which I still love no matter what). It is VERY minor. Not shaking or vibrating or anything, just a little tiny clicking noise. When I applied pressure it stopped.
Oh, another REALLY BIG thing I would recommend is to get the Carfax report. BEWARE, it will not always show if it's been wrecked, so do't use it to determine. I know this for a FACT (2000 Eclipse). But is is like a blueprint for your car. From the "born-on" date, to everytime it has been serviced @ a dealership. It will cost a little, but nice to have when you make your decision.
