If I'm not the first person to reply to this, then the next person will write the same response.

Try using the search function with questions and if you don't find your answers, feel free to post. This topic has come up many-a-times before.

But since I'm a nice guy, quick answer is no, it's not because of cold weather, should happen after every startup/proceeding forward/backward in your car...it's normal. Search & you should find out what exactly the noise is.

Is it possible that it's the ABS (anti-locking brake) self checking system? All cars with ABS have a grunting" sound that happens within the first 30 seconds of start-up. The sound will come from the front part of the car.

If only our search button was more effective!!! "engine gets stuck in the morning" is hardly an easy searchable name if you don't know what you're looking for-- sort of like looking up the spelling of a word in the dictionary when you don't know how to spell it to begin with.

A brief response with explanation is often more appreciated and valuable than a reference to "search" the threads.

his point may be that if the OP doesn't care enough to glance at the screen before submitting his new thread, then why should we care about the topic? garbage in = garbage out.

but i'm just guessing at what he may have meant...

That was exactly my point! If you don't care how you communicate with others why should they even bother talking to you.

The correct spelling for "mispell" is misspell! Seems no one is immune. The point is: people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones! Now, let's top hijacking this guy's thread and answer his question.

The guy asked an honest question-- it's been answered, and it went downhill from there!
