What should I pay for this '05 sedan??
Been casually looking for a G35x for about 6 months now. I think i found one i may purchase.
'05 G35x, 37K miles. Silver w/black interior.
Overall in great condition and clean. Not a hint of curb rash on the wheels and new tires. Not sure of the options package, but it doesn't have NAV, intelligent key or the Bose stereo system.
They are asking $22,700. Salesman told me that may be able to give it to me for $19K.
I'll have a trade in as well (my paid off 03 Mustang GT) but just wondering what you feel a car like this is worth? Conditionwise, i'd say 9 out of 10. Justa couple minor clearcoat scratches i can have by buddy wet-sand out for me.
Would i be overpaying at $19K? Or should i try for slightly lower?

I'd say lower. I got my car a little under a year ago, 05 RWD sedan, no options except sunroof (same as you) for 19k. That was with 32k miles.
A car likes yours shlould be going for around 17-18k

that sounds like a decent price. have you checked out www.nada.com or www.kbb.com for pricing as well?

I'd like to try to get it for maybe $18 - 18.5K.
Whatever my trade-in comes to, i may put in some more cash. They have annother '05 there with 31K miles that also has Nav and intelligent key in it. Downside is it has the peach colored interior and i'm not a huge fan. Price is only $1K more however
Future goals for the car will be tint, rear spoiler and the 6MT sport wheels (or coupe 19" wheels)
Also, do any of the brembo brakes fit onto the '05 models?

22k for a used base model? thats steep. Try for 18k or atleast no higher than 19k. Didn't some1 here got an 05x fully loaded for 21k or less around there (used) a while ago? good luck.

That's what I was thinking. I'll start at 18K and maybe go to 19K, but no higher.
To be honest, i think i can take advantage of the fact that they are hurting and get it for $18K and get what I want on trade in as well

There's a guy here who just recently purchased an '05 X with Premium and Nav packages for only $13K
Big difference is the high mileage at the time of purchase (83K miles) but from his observation, the car looks immaculate. Check his thread below:

Yeah you cn def go lower. I got my 03 sedan (everything but nav) 2 years ago with 43k on it for 15k. You can do better. With the price listed, you can get a much lower mile g
^ +1 for ~$18k
I bought an '05 X with Bose, with keyless and with 8k miles for about $22 a few months ago. I figured I paid an extra grand or so for the extremely low miles. It was just before things started getting really bad for car sales. Now that things are really bad, I'd want a clean X with avg miles for ~$18k.

Lower. I bought my '06 one day shy of 2 weeks ago. Premium pkg and NAV, 45k on the clock, for $18500. 1 owner lease return.
Also, see if they'll honor the deal on Certified vehicles that Infiniti is running:
3.9% Financing for up to 60 mos on Certified vehicles
When I bought mine, the dealer (Infiniti of Kirkland) tried to tell me it ended 10/31. Then I busted them with "oh, well the Infiniti website says it's good till 1/5/09."
