Yes there is such a thing but most of their methods can be considered to be illegal in some/most states. Things like taking off side mirrors, coasting with car off and starting only when needed to go among other things these hypermilers do but get some ridiculously high MPG with regular cars

Last year, my sophmore year of high school, i was required to do some school science fair thing. so for my topic, i decided to do how to increase mpg, since gas was around 4.00$ at the time. the tests were conducted by my dad, who would drive to a city almost 2 hours away from where i live, around twice a week. his tests were all ran in his 2003 trailblazer at around 70 mph, ALL being on the interstate. he would fill up all the way right as we was getting on the interstate, and fill up right as he would get off, to get an accurate reading on his mpg for the trip. although we tested several things, surprisingly the thing that showed the best results was using a fuel system cleansing treatment (http://www.gdielectronics.com/10020l.html)... this lucas brand, is what i would suggest. This wont only help you gain mpg (my dad gained an extra 2-3 mpg from this stuff!), but it also will help your car last longer. i would suggest using this EVERYTIME you change your oil. another thing that made a big impact was a k&n filter. the third most import was making sure your tires are properly inflated. even 3 psi off will effect your mph... make sure its perfect! (i check mine ATLEAST once a month). my dads trailblazer calls for 87 octane gas, and we tried 93 several times, but it didnt show much mpg gains....

hope this helps. feel free to ask questions.

yes, that is the right fuel treatment.. use a new bottle of it EVERYTIME right after you change your oil. also, you can buy it in advance auto parts, or other stores like that.... theres no need to buy it online.

as for the k&n filter, it goes in the stock airbox... so yes, if your running a popcharger right now, it will replace your popcharger.
