I have a '06 sedan and replaced the tires 3 weeks ago. About 4 days later I drove to Vegas to work for the week. The first morning was a bit cold (41 degrees- that's cold for So. cal ) and my TPS light came on. Ok, I thought that was just tires that were low in pressure. Later that morning my Brake light and VDC light came on. I stopped and started it a couple of times but it just came back on in about one minute. I was busy and would deal with it when I got home. It did it that morning and evening but never again.
I checked the tire pressure when I got home and it was about 26 PSI so I set it at 33 and haven't had any issues like that since.
Today, about 2 weeks later my VDC and slip light came on while leaving in the morning. At a light I stopped and re-started the car and it has been off so far.

Any ideas of what the heck is going on? I could see the first TPS light since the tires were a bit low but why the other lights then? Why the slip and TPC light today? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your brake fluid level.

 

Thanks for the reply. I will do it now and see what happens. Can't figure out what that has to do with the VDC light but what the heck, I'll try it.

 

I topped it off but it was just slightly below the split ( half way). Nothing to set the light off. I will see if it comes on again

 

could be your brake pads worn i heard that also causes those lights to come up, did u get all 4 tires the same size?

 

All the tires are the same size.

Last night I checked the brakes and the rear pads were worn so I replaced them. The fronts are still very good.

Not too bad for having 62K on OEM tires, rear pads, and ever been in the shop for anything at all. Gotta love it !

The lights came for rime or reason and haven't been on since. I will keep a eye on them.
