Oil pool in #6 spark plug tube and warranty issue

Hello,

I was going to the dealer this week and decided to check the #6 spark plug tube to see if there was an oil leak. I took mine out and found motor oil around the plug. I am going to tell the dealer about this and get it fixed. But are they going to recommend I change the spark plugs or will they just use the same plugs. The car has 54,000 miles.

Also, I have a creeking noise in my front suspension. I was going to ask them to fix it under warranty. If they say I will need alignment work, will this be covered under warranty or will I have to pay for the alignment? If they charge me for it, I am thinking about getting the lifetime Firestone alignment service. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

if the alignment work would have prevented the suspension work, it's on you. if the suspension work caused the alignment issue, it's a warranty issue, imo.

What year is your car? Oil in the spark plug wells should be covered under your powertrain warranty. This is caused by leaky valve covers which they should replace. Infiniti recommends changing plugs at 105K I believe, so they probably wont change them. Alot of people on here recommend changing them sooner though.

Heres a thread talking about this issue:

The creeking suspension is most likely the compression rods. You do not need to get an alignment after they replace them, it is a direct replacement part. And the compression rods are only covered under the 4yr/60K warranty. Alignments are not covered under any warranties. So if your car is older than '05 you may be out of luck.

Yes I had both those problems and it was covered under my extended warranty. Got 2 new valve covers and compression rods for the suspension. That is prob your noise if you notice it at slow speeds small bumps
