I just wrapped mine in the same vinyl that I used to do my trim and handles.

After seeing this thread, i went on ebay and bought those clear corner marker lights with the black plastic background.

I popped them on today and must say they look damn good. Unfortunately i had white LED's in the stock orange markers, so i took them off until i can get some amber LED's to replace them with. I wasn't too crazy about the bright white light at night.

I'm just trying to stay under the radar a bit. In the day time, unless you really knew G35s well, you'd never know there was a marker there.

However at night, i don't want to attract a bored cops attention with a white marker light where it should be amber. So i'll run an amber bulb and it will look stock.

Where i live is infested with ricers...and i see them pulled over all the time for lighting changes and stuff. Just trying to avoid getting lumped in with "them"

Well that lasted all of 2 days.

Was driving around today. I parked and noticed one of the Ebay smoked corners was falling out! The other one also wasn't seated in as far as it should be. So i tried to fix it and the damn clip for the light fell off and into the fender!! So i put the stock orange markers back on and when i went to take the other smoked marker out, that clip fell out too!!

So i put the stock markers on and then spent 15 mins removing the plastic trim below to fish out the metal clips.

Lesson learned...don't buy cheap stuff. I should have bought the JDM clears and smoked them myself.

I've since epoxied the clips back into the markers and letting it dry. I'll give it one more shot when they cure up. If not i'll just leave the amber ones. I don't really like the look of white clear corners on black cars.

Prob the route i'll end up taking in the long run. Lesson learned - Do it right the first time

I'll work on it in the spring. Too much snow/salt now to keep the car clean enough anyway

Hey I think I want to do this. Did you bake them to open them up and do you have any close ups on the car?

I actually didn't bake them because the glue that they use to seal them is not heat sensitive, You just have to very carefully pry them apart. I used a kitchen knife to get under the edge between the lens and the backing at the pointed end of the clear corner and very slowly worked my way around. If you don't go very slowly and carefully you may crack something. I don't have any close ups on the car at the moment but I can try to get one for you.

I have the nissan clear corners and i think they look great.. My LEDs are coming in this week for them so i can get rid of amber light..Mustang i know your more police sensitive.. but it would really take a bored cop to pull me over for them.. i can't speak for your area though.. heres a pic..

I say it depends on the color of your car. The only color that can pull off blacked out corners or smoked is OB AND THATS IT everyone else stick to clears .

And on a side note im sick of people Blacking out the tail-lights on any color G, smoked is the max any of use should go.

We as G owners need to hold ourselfs to a high standard. If we let anyone just randomly modd a G this could effect the image of this luxary sedan and trigger the coming generation of ricers to be attracted to our car. Thus effecting resale value even more in these desperate times.
