should i go for revised or unrevised springs

If i had the option to go with revised or unrevised springs for my 2005 X sedan which would be the better option?

I read a couple of post, at first i thought the diffrence was stance and alignment specs, i know Z/G's had tire feathering issues of some sort. But then i read more into it and found out it was more of a spring rate, i think on the revised the rears are 25% stiffer. Not sure on the front, also not sure of if the ride height is the same as well.

also i read when getting an alignment i could ask to get it aligned according to a g35 coupe/350z spec and there wouldn't be any negative problems. Well i've heard people have done coupe alignement specs using the coupe specs for RWD, i'm wondering if it the same for the AWD.

I would go with the stiffer ones if I had the choice.

When you go in for the alignment you will have some negative camber. I would just have them get everything as close to your "x" specs as possible.

no joke, coil overs are great and all--but they cost mucho jacko. Not everyone is willing to commit that kind of cash for suspension. Not that I've done alot, but with each additional dollar I spend, the more I feel it is harder to get rid of this car and get something else b/c u feel beholden to it. Like, u know, u spend a certain amount that you won't get back if u sell, its a pain to part out, and then u feel like I should should keep this a long time b/c of all the money spent. That's why I went the z/g spring route, to minimize that effect I'm rambling about above. I'm already planning on what replacement car I want in a few years, so I'm done with mods--no spacer, no JDM battery cover, no hood shocks, no intake, no audio mods. It has taken too much cash and time(researching, buying, installing the stuff) to make this car "cool". My next car I want to tint it and sip tea. Ramble over.

because saving $150 for springs towards $900 coilovers is a lot more realistic then saving 35k for a car towards 100k+ for a car

Can't run ANY coilovers on an X. Go with the revised setup, you'll love it. I ran them at one point on my 05X, liked them more then the H-techs, finally went with the H&R sports and they're the best for this car.

it depends on if you're getting the shocks with it or not.

Now take all those figures and figure out the ratios. It's not realistic for someone to spend $1k+ on coilovers (especially if they are on a budget) if they don't plan to track the car. The car handles great stock and the springs will provide the better looks. With plenty of cash left to spend elsewhere.

go with H&R's

since you have the X you can't do coilovers yet anyways, so this debate is retarded, even if its only on principle at this point

As the above x owners have said, they do not make coilovers for their model, so that is not an option for him. The best option would be to have the front shocks revalved by Tokico to account for the lowering of the vehicle.

for all you coilover ******, all the X owners know we dont have a coilover option. otherwise i would of simply went with tein basic that i see on the for sale forum for $500-800.

i dont have a front strut option other then OEM. these are my options right now coupe springs and struts for $180, Z unreivsed for $40 springs only, $150 for 2004 Z revised springs and struts.

A lot of you guys are running Z fronts with Coupe rears.I really don't know which struts to use.. or springs for that matter. I'm leaning towards the revised Z setup. how big of a diffrence would the struts play? I would like to have the ride near stock, i understand the Z struts are shorter by an inch or so compared to the coupes.

How i look at things RIGHT now is coupe suspension will drop me about .5 inches and be very close to stock, and the Z revised will be about 1.0 inch drop and be a little more firm on the roads.
