i dont even use mine as a cup holder, i keep my ciggarettes, lighters and zig zagz there

haha my man.. same here i rarly have cups there.. when i have a drink its usually a 20oz bottle and the best place to keep it is between ur seat and the door... wont move and its easy to grab.. as far as best places to keep dutchs and papers.. if cops love to search you.. is where the first aid kit is.. in the back console flap.. baller

In the 6MT sedan, they work fine. Hold a 20oz Coke or most any other drink without spilling. Don't rattle and you can close up the box when you are through. I agree, it's not the best design, but it works.

I don't have that spring so I think I'll just rip that tab right out. It just adds to the 2-3 other bad rattles I have in my car. And yes, it's an automatic console and a terrible design imo.
