Have you ever seen a car with a leather bra after it's been taken off after a year or so? Dirt gets trapped under the bra and rubs on the paint. The paint also discolors unevenly.

Clear bra or nothihg. I would clay the front and then put 5 coats of wax on

As sad as it is...I would rather see you join the Blue Tape Brigade than place a leather bra on your car.

Stay away from old style vinyl/leather bras. I can speak 1st hand experience, they trash your clear coat.

I would do the leather bra. Just use it when you need it only, and never when it rains (unless you are driving on the freeway and it just happens to rain)

Have you seen the clear bra after 2~3 years of use?

I used the leather bra about 4~5 times a year.. they worked great.

I just replace my clear bra every 2-3 years. Perfect protection all the time.

I drive on the freeway every day so I would need it every day...

If can't afford 3m, you can buy the precut clear bras from Ebay for the mirrors, fenders, hood and front bumper.

The only thing is they are a pain in the **** to install. You have to spray a lot of water to get rid of all the bubbles and using a hair dryer is a definite must. I also highlly recommend installing when it's hot and sunny.

I was told by the dealership that the vinyl bra should NEVER be left on when it's wet. It will fog a clear coat. So I only use it when I'm on a weekend trip.

I did get the clear bra AND the vinyl bra to use when we really have a hot road rally.

Daddy likey.

Leather bra-do not use. They don't fit right, pain in the azz to install, screws the paint/clear, flaps around in micro-areas and does its damage, its so 1992...

I don't do clear bra either--but so far I've been ok.
