I don't do clear bra either--but so far I've been ok.
I got mine directly from the dealer $140, fits like a condom, does not flap, or mar the paint. But I do remove it just as soon as the trip is over. I left it on for a couple of weeks once it got wet and it fogged the clear bra below it. It cleared up after a few days in the sun, however.

The only thing is they are a pain in the **** to install. You have to spray a lot of water to get rid of all the bubbles and using a hair dryer is a definite must. I also highlly recommend installing when it's hot and sunny.
Do not go with the Ebay kits. They are clear vinyl, do not offer any protection, and can easily damage the paint on your vehicle. I have been a clear bra and vinyl graphics installer for 5 years now and have seeen what the Ebay stuff can do. It really gives the paint protection film industry a bad name. The vinyl they are selling is the cheapest garbage out there and I wouldnt touch the stuff.

I have the leather bra and have had little problems. I always put the bra on after the car is washed. I remove it when I wash the car or when it rains. Also, I make sure the surface the where the bra goes on is waxed before putting it on. I put electric tape over the plastic hooks that touch the paint and haven't gotten any chip marks after putting it on (I live in the desert where there is a lot of rocks).

The only complaint I have is that the plastic hooks come off once in a while when driving. I screwed on some metal pieces where the screws were to make sure they hold better.

I am asking this question in mulitple "Clear Bra" threads in hopes someone can answer it.

I've had my G35 for almost a year now and am planning on getting a clear bra on just my front bumper. My question is after it's installed and when I go to wax/detail my car, will the rest of the car be shinnier/glossier than the front bumper (where the clear bar is installed)?!

Thnx in advance.

Have you seen the clear bra after 2~3 years of use?

I used the leather bra about 4~5 times a year.. they worked great.
Luckily, my clear bra has held up pretty well considering my Baby G will be 4 years old this August.
