Dome Light Help Please!

Hi guys,
I don't know what I did maybe its the rain or something. I have a 03 sedan and all of a sudden, all of my door lights does not work anymore. When you open the door or turn off your engine, the inside light should come on but it doesn't. I try looking for a fuse box in the driver side and the engine bay, but nothing. I've check all the fuse too, looks fine. Does any of you guy have a problem like this before? Thanks in advance.

Are you sure the switch (on the light housing itself) wasn’t turned off by mistake – maybe when cleaning or something?…

My Z did this when the Body Control Module (BCM) went bad. I hope thats not the case for you tho.

Thanks for the input guys. I've check the fuse box behind the battery too, but no help either. I think the other day, i had the radio on for too long and drain the battery dead, maybe that might of cause it to happen like this. Is there a reset button or something? I mean everything else work, the headlights, brake light, signals, instructment gauge, radio, a/c control. But just the doors light is not working. Even the two push on/off light by where you open the sunroof does not work.

You have the exact same problem like mine? Did you have to change the BCM?

You will have to replace the BCM and have the dealer reprogram all your keys. Just take it to them if you have warranty and they should be able to fix it for you.

Yea... your lights don't work because of a dead battery...

I'm sorry, i meant to say i drain the battery to a point that i couldn't start the car. After I jump started the car and drove the car a around the block. The battery is fine now, I'm able to start and go anytime. If a dead battery cause the light not to work, then why all the other things are still working, like the radio, cigar lighter, 12V output?

Really!! *#^@!! I think my warranty expired already. But is BCM t really the problem here? I'm hoping it something minor, maybe a fuse I mislook or ???

Yes the only thing affected with my car was the interior lights (dome/reader). It was replaced under warranty. I had a hard time believing it was something as complicated as the BCM. I dont think its a cheap part either.

Good luck, i hope you find a fuse or something blown. Do your vanity lights work in the mirrors? What about your homelink/auto dim mirror. I am just taking guesses as to things that might indicate it is a fuse.

I'm not sure about the vanity lights in the mirror but the homelink is fine and so is the dimmer switch for the gauges. Like I say, everything works except the door lights.

Go on Ebay buy a BCM module. They are like 50.00 instead of getting raped by the dealer. Install it yourself. It's plug and play and go to the dealer and have them reprogram your keys. You'll save yourself a few hundred dollars.

Buying the BCM is not a problem, I just want to be 100% sure that is the problem. Hate to go through all that trouble/money and fine out that's not it.
