Can someone give me a step by step to reset the Oil Change Maintenance Interval light on my 03 Nav Screen, I cannot figure out how to reset this for the life of me.

Also what are compression rods, I need to check these due to low speed creaks over bumps and pot holes...well the FAQ says I should, but can't find in a search.

Thank You

I don't have a reset button for the oil change.... and it's possible the 2003 doesn't either (I have an 04). The light may indicate something else- low pressure maybe, a bad sensor. If the oil level is okay but the light is still on, you need to look at the oil pressure sending unit. That is where the oil pressure from the motor tells the light on your dash, or a gauge on your dash, where the oil pressure is.

With respect to the creaking sounds over bumps, I sprayed a non-silicone based oil (white lithium grease, red lube, anything that can deeply soak into the bushings, etc.) on the joints of the K member and sway bar, and the creaking disappeared. I've heard complaints about the compression rods from other forum members, but looking to replace them as a first step may be akin to a lobotomy to cure a migraine when meds will do. The bushings can sometimes dry up a bit. Try this first, and really soak them well, then drive around to get the lube moving, see if this helps.

There may be others with much more definitive info, so hopefully they'll correct me if I'm off. Good luck!

To reset the Navi ( I have an 04 not sure if there is a dif) but push the info button, and it will give you three options, fuel, maint, and something else but I cant remember, anyways select maintenance option and hit reset for oil and oil filter, you can also change the millage intervals if you want... It is pretty easy thing to do... Hope I helped a little bit.

Thank you, i guess there is no trick to it then, I can get there, I just cant get the Reset buttton to highlight at all. Everything else on the Navi works, I guess i'll just keep playing with it and hope i get lucky.
