for the coupe, the KP module is all it takes.

i've done the wire splice on many cars before and it always worked flawless but these cars were all sub 2000 years.

I dont know if anyone has just done the wire splice, in theory it will work but there might be some voltage going elsewhere. i THINK everything is controled thru the BCM.

Hmmm... why pay? Im sure its just a matter of doing some trick wiring in the fusebox area. I say this cause in the past, I used to own a 98 Dodge Avenger and originally it was the same thing with regards to the foglights, you had to have the full headlight on to toggle the foglight to work. Otherwise, parking lights only or full off would not activate the foglights even if the toggle was switched.

Long story short, there was a simple mod done with 2 pieces of wire and a fuse in between. You would stick one end of the wire into one fuse slot and the other end into another fuse slot and bingo, foglights could switch on even if all lights were off and/or no key in the ignition. Just like parking lights.

I'll go back to that Avenger forum and see if I could find that info to provide for you guys the link and then the savy ones in here could give us the OK if it is indeed OK for us to do this exact wire jumping on our cars.

is KP still working on a beta version or have they released the module or the sedans yet?

I've always liked having the foglights + parking lights on. My 3series let you do this from the factory and i liked the look of it.

Thanks!

It is controlled through the body control module (BCM), which is a cluster compared to the straight forward manner that works on the Maxima. I had it done to my old 01 anniversary edition. I would not mind using the same procedure if it was not involved with the BCM but I am not about to hack that up in an attempt to get the fog on with the parking lights.
