Are you replacing the doggy door style trunk lid? Some later model 03's (like mine) don't have it.

also another problem i'm worrying about is the tail lights of the trunk lid of the 04'-06' models.. will they align perfectly with the outer tail lights of an 03'?

The tails will fit just fine because the 03-04 tails are exactly the same (the 03.5 and 04 trunks are identical as well). 05-06 have a different set that is easily interchangeable with the 03-04's. 05-06 also have the trunk key hole in a different location, its no longer on the actual trunk. Early model 03's had a different trunk than 03.5 and later models. It was the somewhat less attractive doggy door (my personal opinion only) that looked like this:

How does it open? Does it actually lift out like a doggie door?

Underneath the "INFINITI" lettering is a release button.

When looking for trunk lids you can get the 03.5+ style to replace the doggy door. That way you won't have to ignore all 03 trunk lids and open up your options a bit. They generally won't come with tail lights anyway so that shouldn't be an issue. Since the 05-06's don't have a key hole on the trunk lid (on these models its below the tail light) you will have to use your FOB to open the trunk which shouldn't be an issue either as most of us do it this way anyway.

sweet, now how much do trunk lids usually run? (with the spoiler) , I checked some sites and they said $400~. Is that a good price?

I wouldn't pay retail for one. You might want to look around for anyone parting out their cars or looking to trade trunks for whatever reason.

Nice pic used! lol that's an old pic of my sedan back in the day.

Also, the 05/06 tails fit perfectly fine (oem). I had a set of 05/06 tails and reverse lights on for a while but ended up liking the 03/04 tails and 05/06 reverse light combo. Ended up selling the 05/06 tails. I also put some GTR overlays on them.

Sorry for being a pic *****
