Eibach Pro Kit

Which maker makes the best springs for the G35? Or do the maker not really matter?

What is the difference between coilovers and springs?

And lastly, what is the ride like after the springs have settled? Right now I'm on completely stock suspension without the sports kit.

Re: Eibach Pro Kit

hi..
currently springs are only made by Eibach.. a pretty reputable company...

coilovers and springs..
coilovers are more expensive but include both shocks and springs.. and provide a better/smoother ride..

springs just lower your car with your stock shocks which makes your shocks work below their like official point.. so it wears them out faster and is a bit bumpier ride..

springs cost 250$
coilovers can cost $1400..

coilovers will almost never die, they are a complete kit. So you have components that where made to work together, unlike just changing springs

Re: Eibach Pro Kit

Coilovers can come without the shocks actually. The only reason why you don't see any for the G35 is because no idiot in there right mind would buy coilovers without the shocks for a higher end vehicle. The reason why some choose not to buy shocks when they buy coilovers is to have the look, but save money. You can tell when a cars shocks are gone, the car bounces like there's no tomorrow

Springs are a lil different, especially since the Eibach Pro-Kits are only 1.1" front and rear. It shouldn't effect the stock shocks too badly too soon. Anything lower than 1.5" should definitely consider replacing shocks then or a short while after.

It's still a G thang!!

Re: Eibach Pro Kit

I have a set of Eibachs that I had on my sedan for about 1500 miles. They were $275. I'll offer them for $195.

They were replaced with Tein coilovers...
