according to DOT specs, the lights must be red. the tails themselves can be hot pink for all it matters.

Another mod that reduces your not being seen by other drivers and so increases your chances of being in an accident.

Here's the "ricer" bible for those who may be interested:

the only reason I would ever use clear is to look better when paited smoked... rookie has that on his FX and its looks much better than smoked over red.

the LEDs still light up red. There are OEM clear (Altima for example) - its not a safety hazard, just doesnt look good IMO.

ive taken our tails apart and painted the inners matte black...with a clear lense this mod would look amazing...i would def do it..but the chrome has to go..anyone know how to get rid of the red in the lense...or is this something that requires a new lense all together?

you would have to cut it open... it doesnt come apart like the headlights... I wouldnt do it.
