For real guys, not everyone wants a drop.

I dropped my car on Z/G coupe springs, but thats as low as i can go. My driveway is just friggen ridiculous and i rub as is.

Seriously, you are right. Springs do make the car look better, but right now I am fine with stock ride height. I have my reasons for not wanting to change springs, but that doesn't mean I don't wish I could. I prob would. I'm not against doing it.

Hehe, fine. I guess I can't argue that. Keep in mind we're trying to convince jbla3478 also because he thinks his finances are preventing him from spending a couple hundred on springs.

Well, what's the total cost of lowering a vehicle correctly? Esp an "X"

Springs + cost of alignment? Or are there any other parts that should be changed/adjusted?

The X can be dropped on Z/Coupe springs just like a RWD sedan. Springs/rear shocks/alignment=DONE.

If I remember right it's the front shocks that can't be changed on an X...right?

Your correct. The front shocks have an arm. Nobody makes aftermarket front shocks. You can only get new OEM ones or spend an *** ton and have a company like KONI custom make them.

I dropped on H&Rs. They're obviously more expensive than Z springs. The drop on them is a little more and it will screw your camber up more so a camber kit is needed to align them back to spec.

But regardless. Drop on z springs align them and your looking at the price of one wheel and your car will look, ride and handle much better. The point of all this mustang is that the OP and others think that dropping your car is only for those with lots of money and who like to have a harsh ride, when in fact its the opposite.

I agree, but i think i went off on my little rant when i was told that I shouldn't even bother with rims if I am not going to lower my car at all for my own personal reasons (which are not financial btw)

But anyway, i'm all set threadjacking and we can get back to the OP's initial questions and comments.

Right, I don't think I would bother with rims either if I wasn't going to drop it. It looks stupid IMO. Your putting on stockers, and well without a drop the car will look... stock. No big deal. It's different. Just don't rolling around on baller Works or Volks with 4x4 suspension

You never asked what I meant by financial reasons by the way. Whether any of you people want to admit it or not when you lower a car it is worse on the car. I will admit that I like the looks because I have done it to all of my past rides and my present mustang. However, I do not want to lower this one due to having a baby and my wife will drive the car as well. She does not like driving a lowered car. Not everyone likes dropped cars for everday rides. That's the real reason and that I got a killer deal on wheels and the car needed tires anyway.
