Hi, I'm brand new to the Infiniti family. I just sold my 2003 WRX and have bought a 2005 G35 Sedan. I was curious if anyone knows how many gallons of gas are left in the tank when the gas light comes on. I read the manual, and it was very vague and basically just said, if the light comes on, get gas.

 

i think it is around 3-4 gallons

 

I've driven 50 miles and had 1.5 gals left after the light went on. At 20mpg that's 4 gals.

I came up with that data before I had my fuel gauge sensors replaced. I should try again and see if I come up with the same figures.

 

I would rather not spend my time in the gas station, so I'm one of those who only get gas when I have to. My G has ~3.5 gallons in the tank when the warning lamp comes on. With an average of 17.5MPG, I know I can go another 60 miles or so before filling up.

But that's besides the point... ~3.5 gallons of gas in the tank when the light comes on.

 

I can't even give you an accurate answer.. i feel as if that light can go on when i have 2 gallons or 4 gallons left.. depending on how the car feels.. ive turned off my car with the gas light on.. and when i turned it on i gained over a 1/4 tank... so idk..
