My only concern with not having it on is dirt going up into the engine bay. I opened mine up yesterday and it was sooo dirty. Going to clean it all up today and mount the cover. Because of an aftermarket bumper, the front part doesn't reach so I have to make a piece to extend... I'll post pics later

I deleted the other one, defintely pointless. It's evident that the cover is there to protect the radiator from debris and to keep dirt out of the engine bay. When I drove around without one for a few months it got dirty as hell under the hood. Not too sure about the aerodynamic benefit or whatever though.
