Compression rod replaced and.....wow!

Finally got my driver's side compression rod fixed under warranty today and OMG did it make my car feel new again. I'd been having trouble with a wobble/wavering going down the highway or switching lanes and thought it was due to my staggered winter tire setup (as per my previous thread), plus I was getting a solid thump from my driver's firewall when braking. Long story short, Hyatt Ininiti in Calgary swapped out the driver's compression rod and it is like night and day. Before, my steering wheel was slightly tilted to the right always and now it's dead straight. I have ZERO wobble/waver, anything going down the highway. The steering feels soo nice and tight right now and has no more play in it. I really hope it stays like this. I kinda bought the car earlier this year and just thought these things were woes you had to deal with, but now that this is fixed I'm am so happy with this thing. If anybody is experiencing any of these symptoms get your rods replaced!

How do you determine of your rods are faulty?

I had the squeaking noise from mine and took it to the dealership last week and they only replaced my bushings. Well my warranty runs out Feb 26th so i hope I don't have any problems with the rods themselves

Mine was making that terrible noise too when going over speed bumps so I took it in and they were replaced under warranty. By all means, DO THIS while you are under warranty. It sounds good as new now..

So you can just change the bushings in the compression rods? How much are the bushings? How much for labor? I'm pretty sure I can take the compression rods out, but pressing the bushing in I cannot do, so what would the dealer charge for that?
