Sold the G yesterday.

Yup, it's true. I've been contemplating it for a few months now. A friend of mine really liked the car and made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

I feel like I did enough to the car to like it, but I really couldn't make it a "custom" car without dumping tons of money into it. Didn't want to go F/I, I'm not looking to go fast. I want something that is custom, that will stick out driving down the road. My car only stuck out to those who know about G's and how they come stock. I could have done different rims, lowered a little more, and then paint, but with 106,000 miles, it was time to let it go. Also, I'm looking for a vehicle with a little more room.

I have some miscellaneous parts left over that I will be selling. I took the coupe seats out of it, because my friend said he liked the comfort of the sedan seats instead of the sporty coupe seats. I drove it with the sedan seat back in it, and I must say, I like the coupe seats better... 100% better. They will be for sale to someone local...

I'll still be around the forums...

She'll be missed...

EDIT:
All my remaining stuff is for sale. Check my other threads..

EDIT: Picked up my new truck last week...

I still have under 54000 miles on my 04, so I guess I'm still stuck with it unless something unplanned happens to it. Still stock, though.

yeah I hear ya man. I am in the same situation. I love where my g is now, but would have to drop TONS more dough into it to make it something that I would like it to be. And with all that money I would be dropping into it, I could invest in something more. I'm doing the same thing as you, but I already know what im getting into next. e46 m3

But congrats on the sale and GL with the new car search!

This must be an excellent time to get a great deal on these types of vehicles. Assuming you either pay cash, or have excellent credit.

I still have an extended cab pickup as a second vehicle. I wouldn't like that size, though, as an only vehicle. The G is a much more fun car to drive.

106k miles for VQ is not even close to half it's life time. I would of kept the car and improved on it especially if it was paid off.

So what's the VQ's max. mileage?

My '03 coupe just topped 91k ... I don't know where all these miles are coming from!

A well maintained VQ motor can last well over 200k.
