Was coming home from work today at about 6:30p driving a little fast but nothing crazy, when a LS 430 LSi starts pulling up and gets on my ***. To make a long story short... after waiting until traffic was clear the Lex took off. Just out of curiosity I gassed it starting at about 85. For the first second I thought I wasn't going to be able to pull on this V8, 290 HP but almost 600lbs heavier car. But good news I started slowy reeling him in from 3 car lengths or so to almost right next to him. As I started to pass him, I gave him a nod and hit the nitrous just to make sure he got the point.

15 minutes later, a modded subarau wrx got on my ***, not sure if it was an STi or not since it was debagged. He tried to do a ricer fly by, but I mashed the pedal and slowly started pulling on him. I got a few car lengths a head and hit the nitrous just for good measure.

Last and definitely the least.... was almost to my exit and about another 15 or 20 minutes later, I passed a modded Civic Si who downshifted and started gaining on me. I just kept it in 6th at about 3-4K rpms and mashed it and starrted slowly pulling away. Didn't hit with the nitrous cause I wanted to give my car a rest.

What is it with everyone these days? They all want to try to take down the G! Too bad I couldn't have run against any real cars. It seems like the real cars only want to race when my wife is in the car = no racing. She only recently found the nitrous bottle hidding in the wheel well.

Sorry for the long post and please no comments from the "drag racing is illegal and stupid" crew. I know it is dangerous and stupid. It's never safe; only do it if there is no traffic and enough room on the road for both cars.
