Possible tachometer problem
Possible tachometer problem
Hey guys, i'm getting a list up of things to have the dealership to look at when I bring my car in. I have a 2006 G35 sedan with 47k miles that I just bought and the tach doesn't swing freely when either going up or down. It's hard to explain but it bobbles up and down slightly. It will hold steady when on the interstate or whatever but you take your foot off the gas and it starts to bobble. It reminds me of the speedometer in my grandpas old work truck, it's not solid looking as it climbs and falls. Searching the forums I didn't see any posts about this so I'm guessing it's not normal?...if it is normal you guys would recognize it that's for sure. It's not a big problem at all but if its a part failing then I want to make sure it's dealt with before the warranty goes out. Also do you typically get a loaner when your car is with Infiniti having warranty work done? I've got a dozen or so things that need to be addressed and will need alternate transportation while they have it....not sure what they usually do. Thanks!!
of your 06 G reminds me of your gramp's old work truck.....it is definitely not right!!!
This will be covered uner the bumper to bumper warranty....throw them a list of things to do. Usually if you call to make an appointment you tell them you will need a loaner and they'll schedule you on the day a loaner is available. you can drive the loaner until they are done with your ride. You just have to be over 21. Good luck with your fix!
