Your Density Altitude is 1686 feet...

Meaning, the conditions were similar to those at 1686 feet. Not that big of a difference from seal level BTW.

It was at 9pm give or take. Where do you get that info?

Brake torque cuts power… I’ve been saying it forever, its finally been proven. I used Cipher at last track event and data-logged particulars that Up-Rev requested to diagnose issue… after sending the spreadsheet to them, they confirmed that the throttle is cut for a moment when the ECU recognizes the accelerator and brake are depressed at same time.

I’ve dealt with this for a looonnng time and determined 2-3 years ago that my 60; is actually better when launching off idle (even at 650-700rmp) than power-braking to 2-2.5K

The reason I said *for now* in first sentence is that Up-Rev is working on a solution… that was the whole reason I asked them to look at this issue… so we (AT) might be in business in the near future!

Well you know what...on one of the launches I noticed that from 1500rpm to 3000rpm or so that car reved up sloooooowwww...to the point that I wondered if something happened and then it immediately snapped be back and kept going great. By low I mean regular driving slow...that run netted me a 15.2.

Odd thing is that if I power brake on the street I can do a burn out...on the track was a different question. Maybe it's because I powerbrake at the last second on the track while in the street I powerbrake and after a moment that car starts to spin it's tires. It feels like it has turbo lag.

you can burn out all day long... it doesn’t mean your 60' times are good... the car will eventually get up & go... on the street you wont notice that it takes a little longer to actually go. at the track .1-.2 seconds is very noticeable... on the street, you probably won’t even realize it.

At 10pm (no info avail for 9pm, only 8pm and 10pm. I chose 10pm)

Altitude 13ft
Air Temp 77 degrees f
Barometric Pressure 30.12
Dew Point 66 degrees f

Density Altitude = 1248

Weather conditions are available from the National Weather Service. Density Altitude needs to be calculated using the above info.

Ok mostly good answers, you should be able to cut that down to 14.3-14.5 easily. Keep trying, oh and lose 15 pounds and the spare tire

get your car tuned/or diagnostic check. something must be wrong to see 15+ consistently, unless you had a bad run. ~1600' is not enough altitude to run that slow.

lots of good suggestions in the other replies, but to gain .5-.7 seconds you need some serious improvements, or determine what is wrong with your ride.

just for reference, i ran my car once at the 1/4 mile track nearby (~500') on a hot summer night and saw 14.3 @ 98+, with a 2.1 60'. i'm essentially stock.

My track is in Carolina, PR. The Name is Carolina Speedway and the date was 01/10/09. I don't know how to get the track info though so I don't know the altitude and what not. PR is normally very humid as it is a tropical island but yesterday wasn't too bad.

As for the wheels...they are stock.

My previous car was a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP that bone stock ran exactly the same 15.0@92mph. The only difference is that with less than $1000 I ran 13.4@102mph...LOL. After that I added a nice turbo ( everything else stock ) and ran 12.6@111mph. Forced induction FTW!
lol i ran a 15.6@87 in my 03 Trailblazer. That was the only time i had been to the track. After that, i declared the G has to go faster than 15.0. You should to

Did you manually shift the 2-3 and hold 3rd gear or did you let it shift into 4th?

I shifted to 4th but at the end of the track holding it or shifting would probably have barely done a difference. My launch is the what would make a world of a difference....If I could only get it to launch well.
