Coupe 18s on G35x

Has anyone else put the G35 Coupe 18s on their G35x? I just put them on a couple of days ago and they look sweet, except for the front wheels. There's too much gap, I'm thinking I need to upgrade the tires to 235 instead of the 225 on the front. The rear wheels look sweet.

Anyways my question is to those that have done this, my AWD light occasionally starts to blink. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have the stock 17s on mine but I've wondered how larger tires would affect the AWD and traction/handling.

Different sizes in back and front could stress the AWD. In the RWD cars, staggered is ok since your front and back wheels are independtent of each other. The traction control may get confused by different sensor readings, but that's it. In an AWD, staggered tires will create a constant speed difference in front and rear drive shafts, so the center diff will always be "slipping". You may want to ask a knowledgeable mechanic if it's ok to do this to the nissan center diff.

Re: Coupe 18s on G35x

I would love to see some pics. I have just purchased a G35x and would love to put new wheels on it. Any ideas on just upgrading the tires, perhaps to the 235's??

I'm going to put 245/45/18 all around. I just ordered the tires. I put the 245/45's on the front to see if there is any rubbing or fitment issues. None. I'll attach a photo once I get the tires put on.

I put the coupe 18's on my 2wd sedan. I think they look great.

Do you have a little gap in the front fender? That's the only thing I noticed about putting on the 18's from the coupe. Adding 245's to the front will shorten the gap.
