cold weather package was avialable when i went to buy my car. I remember specifically looking down on the spec sheet.

Cold Weather Package (or Cold package since my memory is a lil hazy this was 4 years ago).

It was a $700 or $900 option. Included heated seats and heated mirros (all season floor mats too I believe). I wouldn't just make **** up trust me.

It works pretty good as i've used it a bunch of times so far this winter......as you can see here. It doesn't get super hot, but it gets warm enough to easily melt snow and ice off the glass and keep it clean.

I'm sick of winter. Every time i clean my car, it looks like this again 3 days later

I assume they have the little symbol on them if they are heated right?

I have heated seats and 6MT (04') but never thought the mirrors were heated.

my mirrors have a little white sticker with a black "M3" written on underside of them. I know mine were heated but I never knew that they came on when the rear defrost is on, learn something new everyday!

Edit: infinitihelp.com mentions a 'cold package' that includes heated side mirrors and heated front seats on the 03 and 04.
Good catch.

Still confusing to me why under the "Overview" tab it states "Other enhancements to the 2004 G35 Sport Sedan include standard heated outside mirrors..." and under the "Specs" tab it lists "Cold Package: Heated outside mirrors, heated front seats" as an available option.

Ah well, I got 'em, I like 'em. No symbols on my mirrors.

OK I guess I was wrong and I do have them. It only makes sense that if I have heated seats and they were an option it would also have heated mirrors.

Learn new things every day.

Slightly off-topic, but I'm wondering if there's a way to make the side mirrors auto-dimming like those in most of the Lexus models? The side mirrors in my previous '01 Lexus ES were heated and auto-dimming, and I thought that's a really cool feature that Infiniti should have implemented to the G design.

the so called enhancements on some 04's are really particular to 04.5 models. Most of the 04 sedans are really close to 2003.5 sedans. the 04.5 got some standard options that are also standard on the 05. One thing that comes to mind is the TPMS sensors. 03-04 sedans doesnt have them, 04.5 sedans do however.

I actually don't like it. I find myself turning the autodim off on my rear-view mirror at night. Reason being i like to scan the vehicles behind me and see what's coming up on me. Is there a way to turn it off permanently rather than having to hit the button every night?

every now and then i get tempted to TINT the mirrors a soft blue, like on some VW's but i fear it might cause an accident. Would be pretty cheap mod to do.
