Satellite radio installed but have a question?

I got a Sirius receiver installed by Best Buy less than a year ago. My 03 was not pre-wired Anyway, I have noticed two things:

1. The volume difference between the radio and satellite radio (receiver) is quite substantial. The stock radio is much louder than the satellite radio at any given volume setting. Why is this? Is it because of the FM Modulator?

2. I am aware there is a sensor on the left side or driver side for the heating/ac system. I have noticed when I have the temperature setting on 60degrees or anywhere around 60 degrees in cooler weather, I am not getting colder air like a used to before I had the satellite radio installed. Did they not hook this sensor back up? It blows pretty much lukewarm air.

Sam

Sounds shady to me. I have Sirius in my car and definitely don't notice drastic volume differences (granted I hardly ever listen to FM but sometimes I listen to CDs).

How did they hook up the sirius in your car? If they FM modulated it through one of your radio staions, its going to sound like crap

I had my sirius modulated in my Maxima and noticed a volume difference. With My Z I bought a new head unit and had it hard wired directly into the unit (using the SC-C1 unit). There wasn't as much of a volume difference. I've never had much luck with getting my Sirius to sound as good as regular radio, if anyone knows why let me know, I'm about to add Sirius to my G and I want to do it right.

Also forgot to mention if my satellite receiver is on but I am listening to the stock radio my reception falls waaaaay off. When I turn the receiver off then reception on the stock radio is much higher.

I would look into having it hardwired to improve both your issues
