Kinda worried. Another ABS/VDC Off/Slip lights on thread...

I haven't gone out to check the brake fluid yet, as it's around 6*F outside, and there's 6+" of snow, and it's still coming down.

My question is: Will the excessive wheel spinning I had to use to get through the snow trigger those lights? Will they turn off after a bit I'm assuming? It was an absolute NIGHTMARE getting home. Took me 57 minutes to make it from work to my home, which is just over 6 miles. Had a couple guys from a plow truck get out and push me at one point. I was spinning up to 60-80 mph in some places trying to make it up the hill in this crap.

Should I be worried about costly repair bills at this point? No warranty...

im new to the G35 stuff, but mine did that when it snowed crazy here couple weeks ago. was at a stop light and when i took off the car wouldnt move much. vds, tpms, and abs lights came on at once and stayed on. parked it and turned the car off. when i turned it back on everything was normal again

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. I parked at my apt complex, turned the car off. Let it sit for about 10 seconds, turned it back on and they were all still on. If it continues I'll do a 24 hour battery cable pull.

Our X did that after some spinning last winter.

Turned out to be VERY costly. Other people have had it happen though and its just brake fluid...

hell even after the first time i dynoed my slip light came on. Turned off though after a while. i think just spinning it triggers it.

Lol you shouldnt have to spin to 80mph either.. just takes a light touch.

Actually, it REALLY helped. The tires would dig through the snow and hit dry ground and push me forward lol. There was just no driving on this ****. I saw a plow truck that was stuck haha

It needs an alignment. I was going to wait until i got wheels put on in april-ish to have it aligned, but I may need to do it before then. After the Z suspension, I have probably 2-3* of negative camber on the rear and probably .75-1* on the the front.

I drove back in the crazy snow too brandon. Hardest part was parking in my backyard, took me 30 mins to park no lie. You should get some dedicated snow tires. BTW, my SLIP, ABS light came on. I turned off VDC because I feel that it was more predictable and drove better with it off (or slightly turned off, since you can never turn off traction control)

I had mine off too. It was just BS trying to drive with it on. Cutting engine power every 2 feet.

I need some dedicated snow tires, but i'm cheap. lol

I agree. I could not get my car to move with VDC on. It would just cut all the power and the car would just stop in the road.

Yup. Exact same thing happened to me. I guarantee I took at least 1/32 if not 2/32nd off my rear tires on the way home from having one tire on wet ground and the other on top of 6" of snow lol. I could SMELL them burning.
