Drifting on a Sedan

I've tried a couple times in an open lot and its really cool, and fun. It works even though there's no e-brake and its auto. Who else can drift in their G sedan? Any suggestions on how to drift better? Maybe some stories to tell.

It's not snowing in LA so I assume you're doing this on dry pavement-- YIKES!

Interestingly, Nissan is now putting "black boxes" in newer cars (the GTR has one, for example) to see how a driver has driven their car. This goes a long way when considering warranty repairs when Nissan can simply use the "Black Box" as their evidence for "damages caused by driver abusing the car!"

I wonder if the G and the 350Z will eventually go this route (my hope is yes)? It could put a damper on sales, although the GTR isn't suffering for it .

Owned a 240 and 260 for about 5 years.... would rather have a G any day: no comparison (apples and oranges).

There are many other techiques to drift besides ebraking, although auto would not be my choice.

I do it on my other car. My technique is to just press the gas pedal down.

I would never do it on my G. Car is expensive enough to repair. At least if i break something on my Mustang, i can fix it for dirt cheap

No matter what, you're really pushing the car in ways it wasn't designed to be managed. If you're skidding across a field or gravel or pavement, it puts extreme pressure on the tranny, engine, suspension, bearings, tires, etc.

For my time and money, I can think of better ways to spend my emotional energy than joy-riding like a kid on a 3-wheeler.

Think....... naked bike riding in Paris for the price of a tranny repair!!

I would never do it to my car, but it's fun to watch others destroy theirs

drifting an auto g sedan? what is this, fast-n-furious.com or g35driver? a g isn't really aimed at those whose list of must-haves in a car is drift capability. typically a lightweight coupe/hatchback is the weapon of choice for that. like an above post said, buy a 240/5.0 to thrash on and save the g for spirited daily driving...

WOW....... I just read some of the OP's other posts and frankly, I'm embarrased that this kid drives the same car as I do. OP, Don't take this personally but judging by your mentality and maturity level your way out of your league driving this car. To put it terms that you can understand, you driving any year g35 is like Kim Kardashian throwing a **** to Carrot Top. Now go sell your car..............
