6k Purple

Do you guys think this is worth the buy? Would it really have a pinch of purple or would it just be blue. If anyone has them installed please post pics of it thanks.

6K is more blue than purple. 8-10k would show purple, but be prepared to possibly get ticketed for that.

if u just want a hint of purple than i recommend 6K. If u want pure purple than 10k to 12k would be an option just look into what ur state regulation on this.... i had 12k purple on my G and i liked it, and had no problem with state police which other people do.....

Just because you want to be different, doesn't make it good. When you do things that change the effectiveness of an item, it's an automatic fail... Going for headlights just because they're purple is ridiculous. Especially when you're not going to be able to see 15 feet in front of your car...

He will be able to see farther than that. It is a 6k bulb with a purple tint. It isnt like hes putting 12k bulbs in his car that totally kill the lighting output.

Right. But he's probably not going to get 6k bulbs, because they're more bluish than purple. And he's looking for purple bulbs... To get that, he's going to have to go to a higher wavelength...

If you read the link he posted, it describes it as a 6k blue with purple tint, then gives a visual comparo (which i didnt even notice a difference)

I really don't understand the purple craze. It doesn't look good to me at all. EVen blue doesn't look good.

We go through all the trouble to put clean white LED's in our plates and interior and then want colored headlights??

I love clean white light. I'm perfectly happy with 5000K headlights. I just don't want any dirty yellow, but i'm not really fond of blue or purple lights.....nevermind the side effect of losing illumination over 4300K anyway.

Then again, i never understood the reason for a lot of things people do to their cars.

uhh, aren't headlights supposed to be white? i have no idea why anyone would want a purple tint in their headlight. is that supposed to be better in fog/cloudy conditions?

Is the bulb tinted??

6K does have a little tinge of blue in it. 5K is more pure white
