Any polyurethane bushings for sways?
Any polyurethane bushings for sways?
Can we readily get some cheap polyurethane bushings for our sway bars. I've got a 5AT sport sedan so I'm interested in relieving some of the understeer. I don't know right now, even when I searched, if there are any out there for the sedan, coupe, Z....I think that I can get poly bushings for the rear sway which will help in what I seek. Also, will the ride be any more stiffer or annoying? I was at acura-tsx.com and read how one guy had rear polyurethane bushings on his rear sway and that it was more fun and in cornering etc...so that's what led me to look for something. We we got more people working on our cars, even the sedans.

Getting poly bushings for the stock sway bar is a step in the right direction but you won't be able to feel a significant improvement unless your pushing the car to it's cornering limits. What you want to do is get a whole front/rear set of thicker sway bars that come with poly bushings. Or if you just want to do the rear 350Evo sells their sway bars individually.

Poly bushings will just take the 1/2" of slack from the rubber bushings out . For the 35 pounds [stiffness add on] in 3.3" body roll inches you will pick up a lot of harshness [impact on road joints].
Better to get a stiffer adjustable rear bar, set in on max stiffness and substitute some rubber for some of the poly/urethane.
Best of both worlds.
