Our neighbor's 18 year old just totaled their new MDX two weeks ago: going too fast and lost control! He hit a tree head-on as he lost control.

On a more serious side, my nephew ran over and killed a 10 year old nearly 10 years ago-- speeding down a back road thinking no one was around. But there was small house at the corner and as he sped around he hit the little boy on his tricycle.

As the say in the movies: "Son... ya ever kill someone... it changes ya forever!"
That story made my heart sink! Why was a 10-year old on a tricycle though?

He was was horse-playing with his friends, who were watching from the side of the road. My son used to get on my daughters 3 wheeler and spin it around for fun, and to make her squeel in anger b/c he took off with it. It was a 3-wheeler, and not a tricycle that the little boy was riding-- sorry bout that.

Semantics. The details didn't really matter, I was just curious. That really is heart-breaking.

How did he hold up after all of this? Did the family press charges?

You think your a safe driver, but your pumped that you went 125 with your friends. Your not really as safe or as good a driver as you think you are. I hear that all the time in school, but everyone somehow manages to slide of the road, wrap around a tree, or flip thier car. And it's not just that you can drive on the highway at 160, your tires need to be good for it, you can't hit a pothole and all these small turns on the highway are gonna be much rougher at that speed.

I may be wrong but I think anything 20+over the limit is grounds for wreckless driving. At your age thats probably = to 500/mo. for insurance so I hope you have a good job or rich parents.

lol must be your first fast car... I will admit I have pushed my g35x to 135 before on a clear highway... I would not go past that because my tires are only 93V rated... I never do that on a regular... I would never want to kill someone... I would probably never drive again...

all these people on here being hypocrites... you didn’t buy a g35 just because it has leather seats and looks nice... you wanted PREFORMANCE... you know damn well you use that performance on the road and on the track... don’t stone the kid for doing the same stuff you did when you was younger and probably still do... but "you know how to drive" cause you older...

I’m not condoning street racing... and I’m not condoning hypocritical flaming...

Quit lying to this kid... the G35 does not accelerate that fast... your car is just a factory freak and should be exploited for what it is, every time you are on the road.

come to canada, 50 over the speed limit of 100km/h and you lose your car for a wk and have a big fine. bet that would change your perspective on driving at those speeds. also considering that most avg traffic speed is 120, it can be hard not to wanna floor it.

i got pulled over for going 34mph over, 79 in 45, and only got excess speeding which was criminal. didnt get arrested. and it was only 3 points, and insurance went up barely anything. it also was my second ticket at age 16. it was equal to my other speeding ticket of 7mph in insurance rising.
