Trade-in

Guys

How much would be my tradein. Have a 05 G35 with 27k miles in great running condition and premium package and spoiler

Dealer offered me 13K and i just turned down. Am expecting 16k .

Is that reasonable

Thanks in advance

But you will only be able to sell it at the market rate of YOUR area. Time to research

if you want to find the "true" value of your trade in you need to be looking at a galves book. Kelly blue book is not accurate and should only be considered when selling private party. Dealers and auction sites will be using galves as their reference as that is more up to date and considers all vehicles "wholesale".

no one is selling cars, new or used right now, so you gotta take that into account as well.

galves updated pricing actually takes that into account too. Dealers will always use galves as a reference when considering trade ins. sucks to be dealer right now, 2 small dealers around my area just closed up shop.

I hope this helps a little. It's a screen print from Manheim Market Report. ( hope it uploads) According to this you should be in the high $15k range. It really depends on your location though. Example: if you had a G35X and you lived in the northern part of the country (i.e. where we get snow) you would probably get a little more for your car in the winter months. I just ran the numbers and the X would go for $1k more *at auction* than your 6MT his time of year (they'd put it out on the lot for about $2 - $2.5k more). That's for "seasonal adjustment" in the "Northeast region". If I were you I'd shoot for no lower than $15k. Everyone is slow this time of year so make them work for your sale. BTW, what are you trying to buy? If it's another Infiniti than they should be helping you out a lot more than $13k, I would have walked too! If they want to sell you a car, make them earn it! Good luck!

Ok, here's the link for the photo. Sorry, I've never uploaded a picture before ... but I'll find out how I guess.

I have NEVER had any luck getting even a half reasonable offer from a dealer. Private sale is the only way to go. I'm getting the new car itch, but Ima gonna wait until congress passes the tax deductions for buying one first.
