What would you expect to pay if you need to have your hood repaint? I am asking because I need mine 06 hood repaint. Not really needed but there is this 1" X 3" clear coat mess than stands out on the otherwise very good condition original paint. The color is Lakeshore Slate and I got a quote for $300 but he knocked $50 off since I am a repeat customer.

I thought $250 is very cheap to repaint the whole hood and I would normally be worry about the quality of his work but he did a very good job last time painting my wife's ES and we were, in fact referred to him by the local Lexus dealership.

Is $250 cheap? I remembered it costed me more 10 years ago to repaint the hood at a local Macco and the quality was ****.

you're not gonna find it for less thatn $250 without sacrificing quality, go for it if you like his work.

 

as long as he takes pride in his work and does quality work with each job you should be good. Plus the previous lex referral is good.
