If the silver has a little metal flake in it, i think it looks good. When clean and in the sunlight, you can see it sparkle.

However, when it;'s got a little dirt on it, it tends to look flat and dull. SIlver is a nice color clean, and hides dirt and swirls VERY well.

I have a DG 2004 g35x and it seems this color is a dime a dozen, at least where I live.

I would go with the silver just to be different.

Think about of you are going to want to change any body parts, front lip, spoiler, bumpers etc. You will have a better chance of getting a used one already painted in DG.

BS is too plain and has no class to it, with DG you will see many shades depending on the lighting.

re : BS is too plain and has no class to it - Ouch - wow - silver has no class . That's pretty strong. I guess all the Silver Spurs (if you know what kind of car that is) , etc have no class. You're only as big as the things that bother you.

I've got the brilliant silver and didn't think it was that great at first -

1. My fiances friend is very, very good with colors (her occupation is interior design) and when she first saw it she mentioned it wasn't your normal silver - and she liked it.

2. If you park next to other silver cars it does look better.

3 coats of Zaino wax -

I like both the dg and the bs - so whatever jiggles your bobber - enjoy!

It's too plain and I see all lower end, cheaper cars on the road in the dull silver.

After having DG, it was the most boring color ever..
Really? What other color can look like 4 different colors in one day?

BS & DG are both beautiful colors but I voted for DG. That's the color I have but that doesn't mean I wouldn't have bought a BS if I had found one with the same Premium package mine has. I sure would have! I do tend to like things with a hint more gray in it anyway.

The G is the first car I ever owned that even looks good dirty! And when it's nice & shiny, it's just a show piece of a car.

Good luck in your search. Keep us posted!

I had to pick between the two colors also when I purchased my G35. My first choice was the BS, which looked great but found out it did not have a sunroof after driving 1 hour away. I went to the dealer next door and they had a DG (a color I didn't consider) with a sunroof for $1000 more. I bought the DG because I wasn't going to own luxury sedan without the sunroof, and because I always wanted one. My thoughts about the colors is that that the BS finish gave it more of a fun/sporty/younger look while the DG offered a refined/sleek/matured look. My wife wants a G35 coupe and she favors the BS or IP finish.
