That's exactly how I've done it too. Getting a CPO car from the dealer, you know you're getting a good vehicle and for the investment I made, I wanted to be sure I was doing it right.

I've had only 5 cars

1990 Mustang 2.3L LX 88HP
1988 Mustang LX 5.0L (still have it)
1993 Lincoln Mark 8 (fast as hell but damn airbags give out too easy)

And this what I traded in for my G35. My 2003 Mustang GT 5-spd. Say what you want about Ford, but it's been the most trouble-free, reliable vehicle ever. 5 years, 70,000 miles, not a single issue, repair, recall, TSB, you name it. It even had less rattles than my G35 has. I just put gas in it and changed the oil (and other maintainence of course). I miss it.

This is my other car. Currently it is all torn apart while i rebuild it for the spring. Redoing the suspension, 13" 4-piston brakes, 18" rims, black interior, and swaping from an Automatic to a manual transmission. I had this car since I was 17 and wouldn't sell it for anything. It's a 1988 LX 5.0

And of course, my G35. No comments about my vanity plate. It's going on my 5.0 as soon as it's road-worthy. I just didn't want to lose it

LOL Gddyup on the G lol. Nice.

My First Car (what i traded for the G)
2003 Chevy Trailblazer LTZ-Intake, Tune, 35% tint, Debadge, Grill, HIDs, other little stuff. If i would have kept it it would have been dropped on some 20s right now..

With the G the day i traded it.

2nd: My G as she sits.

I miss that trailblazer every day. Was a good, problem free truck for 70k miles.

Very nice cars.

Mustang5L5 - I totally agree with you. Everyone always rips on Fords and how they're always POS, but out of my 5 cars (not including the G because I just got it), the two mustangs never had ANY trouble while the others had multiple. As a matter of fact, the other car's problems were what made me sell all of them.

I think the general concensus in this thread, is what we (previous and current owners of domestic cars) say that they had had just as many if not less problems than the imports we have owned.

All car makes have problems.

I just get a chuckle when i see someone post up about "POS unreliable domestics" and then search their old threads and see their thread titled "Help! my car is smoking and running really weird"

Everything breaks
