Yeah unfortunately. It was my first manual car and even though I pay for my own cars, I was 17 and my parents wouldn't let me have my first manual car be a V8. I did full mods, including cams to that car and it only got to be close to a completely stock V8 new edge GT. It was a big waste of money.

Oh yes. Huge. The Mark VIII is quite underrated (4.6L V8, ~250 hp) but was well past its prime. I still have it and am getting the loose ends together to sell it.

First Car - 97 Chevy Blazer
Second - 97 Acura 2.2CL White - (had her for 7 years with almost no problems)
Third - 04 G35x (less than 2 weeks old, for me)

This G has some big shoes to fill because my CL never broke down once. (I'm not counting the time I needed the radiator replaced and I pulled into the shop as my radiator blew)

Congrats! My '01 CL was terrible, the transmission blew twice in 10,000 miles so I had to sell it. Did you get it with the CPO?

CPO? certified pre owned? - nope, I was feeling lucky that day

Yeah the auto transmission's in CL were horrible, especially on the 1st gen. Honestly, every 1st gen that I knew that was auto, was on their second transmission.
I had the 5sp, lowered, intake, exhaust, debadged. I still miss her cuz she was hot.

I actually never ran a car fax on her until I traded her in last week. It had been in a wreck before I bought it and carfax said "moderate to severe damage reported". Hmmm.....and I never had a problem. Go figure? I could have been driving a totaled car for 7 years and didn't have a clue!?

I agree, my 01 CLS w/navi was THE worst investment i made thus far. Transmission was replaced 2x.. I am NEVER ever going back to honda/ acura.

First car was an auto '93 Saturn SC2- Fun little car, great first car when I was 16

Second Car was/is a manual 6sp '01 Z28- Got the car back in 2002 when I was 18. Still have the car. Mod bug hit me hard last year on this one. After modding it up as much as possible and keeping it N/A, it's now getting a new 418cid motor dropped in. Should be over 500/500 to the wheels. Main reason I bought my next car.

Third Car was a manual 5sp '00 Civic Si w/ a turbo+other mods. Owned car for 5 days before my roommate totalled it and led me to shop around and find my 4th car... (thank you roommate!!!)

Fourth Car IS a manual 6sp '06 G35- Love the car so far. Three weeks old for me. Debating on whether or not to let the mod bug take its first bite.

Sorry, no pics right now.

Haha I'm sure that happens sometimes! And yeah, my CL had TEIN coilovers, exhaust, intake, rims but bought it auto because I needed to commute in traffic without checking to see if there were serious transmission problems first. It was so bad lol

Yeah I may do a few small things to clean it up a little, but I'll be keeping it mostly stock.
