I think I have a mouse in my car, because when i changes mine this weekend I found mouse crap in the pleats. There were only a few and the filter was not chewed or a nest I could see so I guess they are not there any more.

You could use anything you want like Lysol, Febreze, etc. Lysol comes in different scents and kills the germs. Not sure if Febreze does or not. At Auto Supply places, they sell a commercial A/C deodorizer that works extemely well. You can try just straight 98% rubbing alcohol in a pump spray bottle like they sell in kitchen stores if you don't want any lingering odor.

Thanks for the feedback. If carbon odor filtering isn't a concern, these can be changed more often than others and still save money.

i see the filter element listing as $27.50 but this most likely is the normal paper one and not a carbon activated one. Just don't want to confuse anyone. I highly doubt it is the carbon one but it would be noted.

anyone ask rivierside if they would do a little GB on this?

A GB on a $40 part??? We should save the request for something substantial like Akebono kit or something... I'd rather save $100 or more - rahter than a few bucks.
