Last night, while attempting to pull a phone charger out of my lighter (04 sedan), it wasn't coming. Then, it did, but so did the metal inside of the lighter socket about 1-2 inches.

Got the charger out this morning, but haven't (in a couple minutes trying) got the liner back in yet.

I don't see anything that looks broken. Any ideas of whether it should be just getting it pushed back in again? Or is it likely that it and some surrounding assembly would need to be replaced?

If it would need to be replaced, I would have to check if my extended warranty would cover it, since I would expect it to be over $100.

I have a 60K service coming up in 3 months, and I was thinking of having it done then if necessary. I wouldn't know whether this is a part the dealer would keep in stock
